Protein Packed Pesto Pasta

If you’ve ever been told that you can’t have pasta when you want to lose weight, run the other way! You CAN have pasta AND fix your metabolism. Try this protein packed pesto pasta recipe to make fixing your metabolism easier than ever!

Serves: 4

Ingredient

  • 1 jar of Pesto (or make your own!)
  • 1 bag / box of your favorite pasta – you could also use Banza Chickpea Pasta or a Lentil pasta
  • 2 heads of broccoli
  • 1-2 cups grape tomatoes
  • 1 handful of greens (arugula, kale, or spinach)
  • Your favorite pre-cooked chicken sausage (2 links per serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet – line with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  2. Chop up broccoli into small pieces. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
  3. Cook pasta according to instructions.
  4. When pasta and broccoli are both cooked, add pesto, chopped broccoli, grape tomatoes, greens, and sliced chicken sausage in the same pan the pasta was cooked in.
  5. Mix to combine and enjoy!
