I gave the classic Caesar salad a protein-packed upgrade by swapping in smashed chickpeas and tuna—hello, creamy, crunchy perfection in every bite! A nourishing, satisfying take on a TikTok favorite you’ll want on repeat.

Ready To Start?

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix 1 can chickpeas and 1 can tuna with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. You'll want to make sure the chickpeas are smashed as much as possible.
  2. 2. Spread a thin layer of the chickpea tuna mixture on one side of a tortilla and press it down firmly. Repeat this with numerous tortillas (however many you want)
  3. 3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with some oil, place the tortillas chickpea/tuna side down, and cook for 2 min. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 min
  4. 4. Top each tortilla with chopped romaine, caesar dressing, and a sprinkle of parmesan
  5. 5. (I added tomato because I love it, you could also add in avocado for healthy fats!)

ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained

  • 1 can tuna fish, drained

  • Taco tortillas, I used flour tortillas with 5g of fiber per serving (2-3 tortillas per serving)

  • 4 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 head romaine

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Caesar dressing
