3-Ingredient Savory Oats

Oats don’t have to be sweet – try making them savory!

(Makes 1 serving)


  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 cups water
  • Handful of greens
  • 2 eggs
  • Optional add ons: olive oil, butter, garlic powder, salt, avocado


  1. Add water to a pot. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, add oats and reduce heat. Cook for about 15 min or until oats have completely absorbed liquid.
  2. When oats have 5 min left, scramble or fry 2 eggs with a handful of greens. You can use olive oil, butter, or no oil in a non-stick pan. This is when you can add garlic powder and salt, if desired (recommended!).
  3. When oats and egg mixture are done, add eggs and kale to top of oats. Top with avocado and other seasonings like salt and pepper and hot sauce.
