Oats don’t have to be sweet – try making them savory!
(Makes 1 serving)
- 1 cup oats
- 2 cups water
- Handful of greens
- 2 eggs
- Optional add ons: olive oil, butter, garlic powder, salt, avocado
- Add water to a pot. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, add oats and reduce heat. Cook for about 15 min or until oats have completely absorbed liquid.
- When oats have 5 min left, scramble or fry 2 eggs with a handful of greens. You can use olive oil, butter, or no oil in a non-stick pan. This is when you can add garlic powder and salt, if desired (recommended!).
- When oats and egg mixture are done, add eggs and kale to top of oats. Top with avocado and other seasonings like salt and pepper and hot sauce.
