- 2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 6 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- Heat waffle iron according to directions. It should be around medium-high.
- Mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and oats in a large mixing bowl. Whisk in the mashed bananas, eggs, milk, and maple syrup to the dry mixture.
- Bake according to the waffle iron’s instructions using 1/2 cup of batter per waffle.
- Top with chocolate chips, pecans, or bananas.
